DPIR’s crude oil burners are principally engineered and designed to use internal pneumatic atomization for maximum clean burn capability with minimal fall-out.
This makes the Derwent system particularly well suited for all flaring operations in environmentally sensitive areas.

The Derwent Burner is a single-head, 9-nozzle, hydrocarbon burner for onshore and offshore operations.
Designed explicitly for well testing and cleanup operations, it can operate effectively with up to 25% water cut, making it reliable and essential during cleanup operations. With complete combustion of crude oil, it provides an efficient and cost-effective temporary alternative to oil storage during evaluation testing.

The Derwent Burner sets another industry standard.
With its unique burner head design that allows hydrocarbons to be burnt with no visible smoke or fall-out pollution. An optional and unique feature is the pedestal mounted burner head swivel which allows the remote positioning of the head within a 120 degree arc. This assists in maintaining continuous operations during changing wind directions.

For onshore use the burner head is mounted on a custom stand,
this comes complete with its certified lifting bridle.
The Derwent Burner system can be configured to suit all flow conditions.
Using the included flow rate tuning kit the burner will always deliver the optimum combustion for a clean flame in conjunction with varying air requirements.

The Derwent Burner is equipped with DPIR’s air actuated Piezo Crystal Ignition System (PCIS) for lighting of the propane fed pilot.

The ignition system is remotely adjustable to allow various spark discharge cycles.
Once ignited, the pilot can be fed from either propane or produced gas.

Manufacture.
DPIR’s burners have been developed over a period of years and are manufactured from 100% forged billet stainless steels to exacting standards by our aerospace compliant tool rooms.
The wall sections of the billets have additional material over and above the required thickness for pressure rating to give some washout protection if abrasive sediments are inadvertently directed through the atomizers.
